What happens 1st and what happens next

When selling

  1. We request your title documents from your Bank/Building Society. We will need your mortgage account number to enable us to do so.

Next

  1. We prepare a draft Contract and send it to your proposed Purchaser's Solicitor.
  2. We invite you to discuss replies to Pre-Contract Enquiries i.e. general information about the property including whether you have altered/extended the property.
  3. The proposed buyer will receive a survey report and mortgage offer and sign a Contract.
  4. You will then sign the Contract and a completion date is fixed.

When Buying

  1. Your seller's Solicitors will send us title documents and draft Contract.
  2. We will check the documents to confirm that the seller has power to sell, and among other technical matters to establish that there are no restrictions which might affect your use of the premises.
  3. We will advise you on the contents of your survey report and mortgage offer and advise when you should sign a Contract.
